Summary

CVE-2023-4221 is a command injection vulnerability affecting Chamilo Learning Management System (LMS) versions prior to 1.11.24. Malicious users with the ability to upload Learning Paths can exploit this issue by introducing special characters that bypass input validation, leading to remote code execution. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it enables attackers to gain unauthorized access and potentially take control of affected systems. To mitigate this risk, it is recommended that users upgrade to Chamilo LMS version 1.11.25 or later as soon as possible.
