Summary

CVE-2023-42000 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting Arcserve UDP before version 9.2. This issue involves a path traversal flaw in the com.ca.arcflash.ui.server.servlet.FileHandlingServlet.doUpload() function. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to upload arbitrary files to any location on the file system where the UDP agent is installed. Successful exploitation could lead to serious data breaches, unauthorized access, or system compromise. It is highly recommended to upgrade to the latest version of Arcserve UDP to mitigate this risk.
