Summary

CVE-2023-41990 is a vulnerability affecting multiple Apple operating systems, including tvOS, iOS, iPadOS, macOS Monterey, macOS Big Sur, and macOS Ventura. This issue is linked to the improper handling of caches during font file processing. An attacker could exploit this flaw to execute arbitrary code, posing a significant risk. Apple has released updates for the affected operating systems to address this vulnerability. Notably, there is evidence that this issue was actively exploited against older versions of iOS before the release of iOS 15.7.1.
