Summary

CVE-2023-41943 is a vulnerability affecting the Jenkins AWS CodeCommit Trigger Plugin version 3.0.12 and older. This issue permits attackers with Read access to the Overall/ flow control permission to clear the Simple Queue Service (SQS) queue in an unauthorized manner. The plugin fails to execute necessary permission checks in an HTTP endpoint, creating a potential security risk for Jenkins users utilizing this plugin with AWS CodeCommit. unauthorized clearance of the SQS queue could lead to disrupted workflows or data loss. It is strongly recommended that users upgrade to a patched version of the plugin to mitigate this vulnerability.
