CVE-2023-41932 is a vulnerability affecting Jenkins Job Configuration History Plugin version 1227.v7a_79fc4dc01f and earlier. The issue resides in insufficient input validation for 'timestamp' query parameters in several endpoints of the plugin. This weakness exposes the Jenkins controller file system to unauthorized deletion of attacker-specified directories, provided they contain a file named 'history.xml'. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability to manipulate Jenkins system files and potentially gain unauthorized access or disrupt the Jenkins environment. Jenkins users are urged to update their plugin to the latest version as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
