Summary

CVE-2023-41844 is a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Fortinet FortiSandbox versions 4.4.1, 4.4.0, 4.2.0 through 4.2.5, 4.0.0 through 4.0.3, 3.2.0 through 3.2.4, and 3.1.0 through 3.1.5, as well as 3.0.0 through 3.0.4. This issue stems from improper neutralization of user input during web page generation. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by delivering crafted HTTP requests to the capture traffic endpoint. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to execute unauthorized code or issue commands, potentially leading to significant security risks. Fortinet urges users to upgrade to a patched version as soon as possible to mitigate these threats.
