Summary

CVE-2023-41720 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting Ivanti Connect Secure (ICS) below version 22.6R2. An attacker with a initial foothold on an ICS appliance can leverage this weakness in a vulnerable installed application to escalate their privileges, ultimately obtaining elevated execution rights on the targeted system. This issue poses a significant risk, as successful exploitation could lead to severe compromise of the affected system. It is strongly recommended that users of Ivanti Connect Secure upgrade to a patched version as soon as possible to mitigate this vulnerability.
