Summary
CVE-2023-41666 is a stored XSS vulnerability affecting versions 2.9.9 and below of the Stockdio Stock Quotes List plugin for WordPress. An attacker can inject malicious scripts into a user's account by exploiting a flaw in the authentication system for contributor level users. Successful exploitation could lead to unintended execution of malicious code within the user's browser, potentially compromising sensitive information or taking control of the user's account. It is recommended that users upgrade to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this risk.
