Summary
CVE-2023-4140 is a privilege escalation vulnerability affecting the WP Ultimate CSV Importer plugin for WordPress. In versions up to 7.9.8, insufficient restrictions on the 'get_header_values' function enable authenticated attackers, even those with minimal permissions like an author, to modify their user role by manipulating the 'wp_capabilities->cus1' parameter. This vulnerability could potentially allow attackers to gain administrative privileges if they have previously been granted access in the plugin settings.
