Summary

CVE-2023-41273 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting several QNAP operating system versions. This issue, which resides in a heap-based component, allows authenticated administrators to execute arbitrary code via a network. Notably, this flaw could potentially be exploited to gain unauthorized system control. QNAP has already released patches to address this vulnerability in QTS 5.1.2.2533 and later, QuTS hero h5.1.2.2534 and later, and QuTScloud c5.1.5.2651 and later. Users are strongly encouraged to update their systems as soon as possible to mitigate the risk.
