Summary

CVE-2023-4119 is a newly discovered vulnerability in Academy LMS 6.0 that poses a significant threat. The issue lies within the unknown code of the /academy/home/courses file, making it susceptible to cross-site scripting attacks. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by manipulating the query/sort_by argument, enabling them to inject malicious scripts into a user's browser. This attack can be carried out remotely, compromising user data and potentially leading to further security breaches. Vendor VDB-235966 has identified this issue, but as of yet, the vendor has not responded to disclosure efforts.
