Summary
CVE-2023-41056 is a vulnerability affecting Redis, an in-memory database that also persists data on disk. The issue arises due to Redis' mishandling of memory buffer resizing, resulting in an integer overflow leading to a heap overflow. This heap overflow can potentially enable remote code execution, posing a significant security risk. The affected versions are 7.0.x before 15 and 7.2.x before 4. Redis has released patches to mitigate this issue in versions 7.0.15 and 7.2.4.
