Summary

CVE-2023-41047 is a vulnerability affecting versions up to and including 1.9.2 of OctoPrint, a web interface for managing 3D printers. Malicious administrators can exploit this flaw to execute arbitrary code during the rendering of specially crafted GCODE scripts, potentially leading to data extraction, manipulation, or system command execution with the OctoPrint process rights. OctoPrint versions 1.9.3 and later have been patched, and administrators are advised to ensure trusted environments and avoid untrusted GCODE scripts.
