Summary

CVE-2023-40983 is a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the File Manager function in Webmin version 2.100. An attacker can exploit this weakness by injecting a specially crafted payload into the Find in Results file, allowing them to execute malicious scripts in the context of the targeted user. This issue poses a significant risk as it could lead to session hijacking, data theft, or other malicious activities.
