Summary

CVE-2023-40946 is a newly discovered vulnerability in Schoolmate version 1.3. An SQL injection flaw exists in the validation of the $username variable in the SESSION data of the ValidateLogin.php file. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by injecting malicious SQL code, potentially gaining unauthorized access to sensitive data or even taking control of the affected system. This issue highlights the importance of input validation and sanitization to prevent SQL injection attacks.
