Summary

CVE-2023-40932 is a Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Nagios XI versions 5.11.1 and below. Attackers with access to the custom logo component can inject arbitrary JavaScript or HTML through the alt-text field. This vulnerability poses a significant risk as it affects all pages containing the navbar, including the login page, enabling attackers to steal plaintext credentials.
