Summary

CVE-2023-4078 is a medium severity vulnerability affecting Google Chrome extensions prior to version 115.0.5790.170. An attacker could exploit this issue by convincing a user to install a malicious extension. Once installed, the attacker could inject malicious scripts or HTML into privileged pages, potentially gaining unauthorized access to sensitive information. This vulnerability was caused by an inappropriate implementation in the extensions feature of Chrome. Users are advised to keep their Chrome browsers updated to mitigate this risk.
