Summary
CVE-2023-40705 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Map setting page of VI Web Client versions prior to 7.9.6. An authenticated attacker can exploit this flaw to inject arbitrary scripts, posing a significant security risk. By manipulating the input data, the attacker can execute malicious code in the victim's browser during a legitimate session, potentially leading to information disclosure, unauthorized actions, or further exploitation.
