Summary

CVE-2023-40703 is a vulnerability affecting Mattermost Boards. It permits an attacker to manipulate certain fields within a block, causing excessive resource consumption. By crafting a specifically designed string, an adversary can trigger this issue, potentially leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) condition. Mattermost fails to effectively limit the character length in these fields, enabling the attack.
