Summary

CVE-2023-40559 identifies a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability present in versions 2.4.0 and below of the Dynamic Pricing and Discount Rules plugin for WooCommerce, called theDotstore. This issue allows an attacker to manipulate a user's browser into making unintended actions on the affected website, such as changing pricing rules or making unauthorized discounts. An attacker can exploit this flaw by convincing a victim to click on a malicious link, potentially causing significant damage to the e-commerce store. It is crucial for users running the vulnerable plugin version to update to the latest release as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
