Summary

CVE-2023-40433 is a logic issue discovered in macOS Ventura. This vulnerability allows an app to bypass Gatekeeper checks, which are essential for ensuring that only trusted software runs on the system. Apple has since addressed this issue with improved checks in macOS Ventura 13.3. Unfortunately, before the patch was released, malicious software could potentially exploit this vulnerability to execute unauthorized code on affected machines.
