Summary

CVE-2023-40274: A vulnerability was discovered in zola versions 0.13.0 to 0.17.2. The built-in web server, accessible via the "zola serve" command, is affected. The handle_request function, used to process HTTP requests, fails to restrict path traversal sequences (../) in URLs when serving files, enabling attackers to bypass the webroot and access arbitrary files on the system.
