CVE-2023-40181 is a vulnerability impacting FreeRDP, an open-source implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), released under the Apache license. Affected versions suffer from an Integer-Underflow issue in the `zgfx_decompress_segment` function. This flaw can result in an Out-Of-Bound Read scenario in the `CopyMemory` context, allowing the reading of data beyond the transmitted packet range. This vulnerability can lead to a crash and has been addressed in versions 2.11.0 and 3.0.0-beta3.
