Summary

CVE-2023-40077 is a critical vulnerability affecting multiple functions in MetaDataBase.cpp. It stems from a race condition, which creates a possibility for a Use-After-Free (UAF) write. An attacker who successfully exploits this issue can perform remote privilege escalation without requiring any additional execution privileges. Notably, user interaction is not necessary for an exploit to occur.
