Summary

CVE-2023-39978 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting ImageMagick versions before 6.9.12-91. Malicious input can cause Magick::Draw to consume excessive memory, leading to a denial-of-service condition. Attackers can exploit this flaw by crafting specially crafted images to trigger the issue. ImageMagick users are advised to update to the latest version to mitigate this risk. Failure to address this vulnerability can result in unavailability of ImageMagick applications.
