Summary

CVE-2023-39903 is a vulnerability affecting Fujitsu Software Infrastructure Manager (ISM) versions prior to 2.8.0.061. The issue lies with the ismsnap component, which allows for the insecure collection and storage of authorization credentials in cleartext. This occurs during any ISM Firmware Repository Address setup test or regular authorization against a remote firmware repository site. A privileged attacker can exploit this vulnerability to potentially gather associated ismsnap maintenance data. Preconditions for an ISM installation to be vulnerable include the Download Firmware function being enabled and configured, and the use of a backslash (\) character in a user credential for the remote proxy host or firmware repository server. This issue may overlap with CVE-2023-39379.
