Summary

CVE-2023-3962 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Winters theme for WordPress. Versions up to and including 1.4.3 are vulnerable due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. An attacker can exploit this flaw by injecting arbitrary web scripts via prototype pollution, which makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to execute malicious code when a user clicks on a malicious link or performs a certain action on a vulnerable page. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to WordPress websites using the Winters theme and requires immediate attention and patch installation to prevent potential attacks.
