Summary

CVE-2023-39204 is a recently disclosed buffer overflow vulnerability affecting certain Zoom client versions. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this issue by sending specially crafted network packets, leading to a denial of service condition. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient input validation, allowing an adversary to inject excessive data into the targeted buffer. The impact of this issue includes client crash or unavailability, causing inconvenience and potential disruption to Zoom meetings and webinars.
