Summary

CVE-2023-39063 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting RaidenFTPD version 2.4.4005. A local attacker can exploit this issue by supplying malicious input to the Server name field during the setup wizard. Successful exploitation grants the attacker the ability to execute arbitrary code on the targeted system. This vulnerability poses a serious risk and requires immediate attention from users running the affected version of RaidenFTPD. It is highly recommended to upgrade to a patched version or take other mitigating measures to prevent potential attacks.
