Summary

CVE-2023-39013 is a newly disclosed code injection vulnerability affecting Duke v1.2 and older versions. The flaw is located in the CommonJTimer component of the Duke server (no.priv.garshol.duke.server.CommonJTimer.init). An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by injecting malicious code during the initialization process. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution and potential compromise of the affected system. Users are strongly advised to update Duke to a patched version to mitigate this risk.
