Summary

CVE-2023-38880 is a vulnerability affecting OS4ED's openSIS Classic Community Edition version 9.0. This issue involves a broken access control in the database backup functionality. When an admin generates a backup, the file is stored in the web root with a predictable filename format. Attackers can easily access the backups, which contain the entire database including password hashes, putting sensitive information at risk.
