Summary

CVE-2023-38876 is a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting msaad1999's PHP-Login-System 2.0.1. An attacker can exploit this issue by injecting malicious JavaScript code into the 'selector' parameter in the '/reset-password' endpoint. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to execute arbitrary code in the user's web browser, posing a significant risk to data confidentiality and potential account takeover. Users are advised to update their PHP-Login-System installation as soon as possible to mitigate this threat.
