Summary

CVE-2023-38758 is a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the wger Project's wger Workout Manager version 2.2.0a3. An attacker can exploit this flaw in the add-ingredient function, located in templates/ingredients/view.html, models/ingredients.py, and views/ingredients.py components. By injecting malicious scripts into the license_author field, an attacker may gain privileges and potentially execute arbitrary code in a user's browser, posing a significant security risk. This vulnerability can lead to unauthorized access, data theft, or other malicious activities.
