Summary

CVE-2023-38706 is a vulnerability affecting Discourse, an open-source discussion platform. Before versions 3.1.1 of the stable branch and 3.2.0.beta1 of the beta and tests-passed branches, a malicious user could create an unlimited number of drafts with excessively long draft keys. This excessive draft creation may deplete server resources, causing potential downtime or performance issues. The vulnerability has been addressed in versions 3.1.1 and 3.2.0.beta1. No workarounds are currently known.
