Summary

CVE-2023-38590 is a buffer overflow vulnerability that Apple addressed through improved memory handling in several of its operating systems. Affected versions include watchOS 9.5 and below, macOS Big Sur 11.7.8 and below, iOS 15.7.7 and below, iPadOS 15.7.7 and below, macOS Monterey 12.6.7 and below, tvOS 16.5 and below, iOS 16.5 and iPadOS 16.5, macOS Ventura 13.4 and below. If exploited, a remote user could potentially cause unexpected system termination or corrupt kernel memory. This issue has been patched in the latest updates of these operating systems.
