Summary

CVE-2023-38560 is an integer overflow vulnerability identified in Ghostscript's pl_glyph_name function, located in pcl/pl/plfont.c at line 418. This issue arises when processing PCL files during the conversion to PDF format. A local attacker can exploit this flaw to cause a denial of service by crafting a malicious PCL file. The integer overflow can lead to memory corruption, resulting in unintended program behavior and potential system instability.
