Summary
CVE-2023-38531 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting multiple versions of Parasolid (V34.1, V35.0, V35.1), as well as various versions of Teamcenter Visualization (V14.1, V14.2, V14.3, V2312). The issue stems from an out-of-bounds read flaw in the handling of X_T files. This vulnerability enables an attacker to read data beyond the allocated structure, potentially gaining the ability to execute arbitrary code within the current process. Users are advised to update to the respective patched versions as soon as possible to mitigate this security risk.
