Summary

CVE-2023-38521 is an Admin-level Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting versions 1.3.1 and below of the Exif Gregory plugin, named Exifography. An attacker with malicious intent can exploit this flaw to inject malicious scripts into a victim's website, potentially gaining unauthorized access or stealing sensitive data when the vulnerable page is visited. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient input validation in the plugin's authentication process. Users are encouraged to update to the latest version of Exifography as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
