Summary

CVE-2023-38380 is a vulnerability affecting various Siemens SIMATIC and SIPLUS products, including CP 1242-7 V2, CP 1243-1, CP 1243-1 DNP3, CP 1243-1 IEC, CP 1243-7 LTE, CP 1243-8 IRC, CP 1542SP-1, CP 1542SP-1 IRC, CP 1543-1, CP 1543SP-1, SINAMICS S210, SIPLUS ET 200SP CP 1542SP-1 IRC TX RAIL, SIPLUS ET 200SP CP 1543SP-1 ISEC, and SIPLUS ET 200SP CP 1543SP-1 ISEC TX RAIL, as well as SIPLUS NET CP 1543-1. The issue lies in the webserver implementation of these products, which fails to properly release memory after usage. An attacker with network access can exploit this vulnerability to cause a denial-of-service condition in the webserver of the affected product.
