Summary
CVE-2023-38366 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting IBM Filenet Content Manager Components 5.5.8.0, 5.5.10.0, and 5.5.11.0. This issue enables a remote attacker to traverse directories on targeted systems by sending a specifically crafted URL request with "dot dot" sequences (/../). This vulnerability, tracked as IBM X-Force ID: 261115, poses a significant risk as it allows unauthorized access to arbitrary files, potentially leading to data exposure or system compromise.
