Summary

CVE-2023-38316 is a vulnerability affecting OpenNDS Captive Portal before version 10.1.2. This issue allows attackers to execute arbitrary OS commands by inserting them into the URL portion of HTTP GET requests when the custom unescape callback is enabled. This vulnerability has been addressed in OpenWrt master, OpenWrt 23.05, and OpenWrt 22.03 with the release of OpenNDS version 10.1.3 on August 28, 2023.
