Summary

CVE-2023-38304 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting Webmin version 2.021. This issue involves a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) flaw in the Users and Groups functionality. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by injecting a malicious payload into the Group Name field when creating a new group. Successful exploitation could lead to the execution of malicious code on the target system and unauthorized access to sensitive information. It is strongly recommended that users upgrade to the latest version of Webmin to mitigate this risk.
