Summary

CVE-2023-38186 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting Windows Mobile Device Management. Hackers can exploit this Elevation of Privilege (EoP) issue to gain elevated access to affected systems. An attacker can send a specially crafted message to a targeted device, causing the vulnerability to be triggered. Successful exploitation grants the attacker administrative control, allowing them to install unauthorized software, view, modify, or delete sensitive data. Organizations using Windows Mobile Device Management are urged to apply the available patch as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
