Summary

CVE-2023-3814 is a vulnerability affecting the Advanced File Manager plugin for WordPress. Before version 5.1.1, the plugin failed to properly restrict access to files and folders on multisite installations. As a result, site admin users can gain unauthorized access to read arbitrary files and folders on the server, posing a significant security risk. This issue could potentially lead to data leakage or unauthorized system access. To mitigate this vulnerability, it is recommended that users upgrade to the latest version of the plugin or consider disabling it until a patch is available.
