Summary

CVE-2023-37896 is a vulnerability affecting the Nuclei vulnerability scanner, specifically those utilizing the Go code (SDK) implementation before version 2.9.9. The issue stems from improper sanitization of payloads when loading in sandbox mode, which could lead to arbitrary files being read from the filesystem. This vulnerability does not impact CLI users. Version 2.9.9 has addressed the issue and implemented new options for sandbox control: `-lfa` and `-lna`, which are enabled and disabled respectively for file and network access, respectively. The `-sandbox` option has been deprecated.
