Summary

CVE-2023-37477 is a critical vulnerability affecting the 1Panel Linux server management tool. An OS command injection flaw exists in the firewall functionality, allowing authenticated attackers to execute arbitrary system commands. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient input validation in the `/hosts/firewall/ip` endpoint. This vulnerability, if exploited, could lead to a complete compromise of the targeted system. The issue has been addressed in commit `e17b80cff49`, which is part of release version `1.4.3`. It is strongly recommended that users upgrade to this version to mitigate the risk. Currently, there are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
