Summary

CVE-2023-37404 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting IBM Observability with Instana versions 1.0.243 to 1.0.254. An attacker who successfully executes a DNS poisoning attack can exploit this weakness to execute arbitrary code on the host machine. IBM's X-Force has assigned ID 259789 to this issue. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, especially in environments where DNS security is not adequately protected. IBM urges users of the affected version to apply the available patches as soon as possible to mitigate this threat.
