Summary

CVE-2023-37261: OpenComputers, a Minecraft mod that introduces programmable computers and robots, exposes a vulnerability affecting versions 1.2.0 to 1.8.3 with the Internet Card feature enabled. Hackers can exploit this flaw by gaining access to sensitive information on cloud hosting provider metadata APIs, potentially escalating privileges. IPv6 addresses are also inadequately filtered, enabling broader network access. OpenComputers 1.8.3 offers a patch for this issue, and users can disable the Internet Card feature or employ IP address/domain allow and block lists as workarounds.
