Summary

CVE-2023-37254 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the Cargo extension for MediaWiki versions up to 1.39.3. This issue permits Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks, which can be triggered through a specially crafted page item in the Special:CargoQuery interface using the default format. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to unintended execution of malicious scripts in a user's browser, potentially resulting in data theft or other forms of unauthorized access.
