Summary
CVE-2023-36916 is a critical vulnerability affecting GTKWave 3.3.115. Multiple integer overflows exist within the FST fstReaderIterBlocks2 chain_table allocation functionality. An attacker can exploit this issue by crafting a malicious .fst file, leading to arbitrary code execution. The vulnerability stems from the allocation of the `chain_table_lengths` array, posing a significant risk to users who open malicious files.
